The partnership between New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre continues to reach new heights as the two organisations prepare for their second Fantasticamania tour of 2026. Following the success of the Japanese leg in February, CMLL has officially announced the card for a blockbuster event set to take place at the historic Arena Mexico on 19 June. The lineup features a blend of championship stakes and emotional send-offs that have become the hallmark of this international crossover.

The main event will see the CMLL World Tag Team Championships on the line as the reigning champions, Angel de Oro and Niebla Roja, defend their titles against the formidable New Japan duo of SANADA and Dick Togo. This encounter marks a significant clash of styles, as the high-flying technicality of Los Ingobernables de Juarez meets the methodical, sometimes underhanded tactics of the House of Torture members. For SANADA, a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, the opportunity to capture gold on Mexican soil would add another major accolade to his international resume.

In a match that carries immense personal weight, Tiger Mask IV will compete in his final match in Mexico. The legendary masked man will team with Blue Panther and Mistico to take on the trio of Averno, Black Tiger, and Volador Jr. Tiger Mask’s career has been intrinsically linked to the Lucha Libre tradition, and his retirement from the Mexican ring is being treated as a major ceremonial event. The presence of Mistico and Volador Jr. in this match ensures a high-pace, acrobatic tribute to one of the most respected figures in the history of the junior heavyweight division.

The card also features a significant inter-promotional championship match as India Sioux defends the CMLL Japan Championship against Stardom’s Rina. This match represents the expanding collaboration between the various arms of the New Japan and CMLL umbrella, bringing a top-tier Joshi presence to the Arena Mexico stage. Rina, a rising star in the Japanese scene, faces a daunting task against the champion in a venue where the local crowd is notoriously partisan.

Rounding out the announced lineup is a trios match pitting Templario, Mascara Dorada, and Neon against a contingent from New Japan’s Unbound Company. Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori, and Titan will represent the heel faction in what promises to be a chaotic, high-flying encounter. The dynamic between Titan—a CMLL regular who has become a cornerstone of New Japan—and his Mexican contemporaries provides a compelling subplot to a match that is likely to be one of the evening’s fastest-paced bouts. As the 19 June date approaches, Fantasticamania 2026 is shaping up to be a definitive celebration of the enduring bond between two of the world's most historic wrestling promotions.
