Brock Lesnar Returns, Attacks Oba Femi, Match Made for Italy

Brock Lesnar is officially out of retirement. In one of the most stunning developments of the year, The Beast Incarnate made a surprise appearance on the May 18, 2026, edition of Monday Night Raw in Greensboro, North Carolina, completely shattering the assumption that his legendary in-ring career was over.

The unexpected return occurred during what was supposed to be the latest installment of the Oba Femi Open Challenge. As Femi stood in the ring posing in the darkness, he was suddenly ambushed from behind. When the arena lights came back up, the crowd erupted as it was revealed that Lesnar was the attacker. Looking to avenge his loss to Femi from Night Two of WrestleMania 42, Lesnar dismantled the powerhouse with a relentless series of strikes before dropping him with four consecutive F5s, leaving the dominant superstar completely layout in the middle of the ring.

The segment completely rewrites the narrative surrounding Lesnar's status. Following his defeat against Femi at WrestleMania, Lesnar had visibly removed his gloves and boots and left them inside the squared circle—a traditional gesture widely recognized as a performer calling it a career. With WWE officials having reportedly already filed his official retirement paperwork, his sudden and violent re-emergence caught management entirely off guard.

The fallout from the assault quickly moved backstage. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce was intercepted in his office by Lesnar’s longtime advocate, Paul Heyman. Despite Pearce noting that Lesnar was technically a retired athlete, Heyman slid a fresh contract across the desk. Heyman revealed that Lesnar had already signed the paperwork, officially locking in a high-profile rematch between Lesnar and Oba Femi for the upcoming Clash in Italy premium live event on May 31 at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.

With the retirement rumors officially put to rest, the stage is now set for one of the most physically demanding rivalries in modern WWE history to continue. Femi's rise to prominence was solidified by conquering Lesnar on the grandest stage of them all, but The Beast's calculated ambush proves he is not ready to walk away from the sport without a fight.
