WWE President Nick Khan
has officially confirmed that a Premium Live Event (PLE) will take place in Italy in early 2026. The revelation came during Khan's appearance at the IMG x RedBird Summit, marking Italy as the latest European country to host one of the company's marquee events.

The move follows the recent success of international PLEs, including events held in the United Kingdom and France, and coincides with the upcoming transition of WWE's television programming to Netflix in Italy in 2026.

"Almost half of our Premium Live Events take place outside of the United States now," Khan stated, emphasizing the strategic importance of international markets. "We believe WWE is a global property, we believe the results on these shows, both in terms of attendance and viewership (locally and globally) have been significant. We have seen year-over-year increases for viewership on each one."

While the exact city and specific event name remain unconfirmed, the announcement signals Italy's biggest WWE show to date, as the company has historically only held live events and televised episodes of SmackDown in the country. The last televised show took place in Bologna earlier this year on the Road to WrestleMania.

The decision to host a major PLE in Italy aligns with WWE's aggressive international expansion strategy, which has seen the company tour the globe extensively in recent years. This European PLE will join an already active 2026 schedule for WWE outside of North America, which includes the previously announced Royal Rumble event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fans in Europe and across the world can now look forward to another major spectacle of sports entertainment coming to the continent, continuing the tradition of memorable international events that have proven to be significant draws for both live crowds and global viewership. The move is expected to further bolster WWE’s growth in the Italian market as the company strengthens its presence alongside new streaming partner Netflix.
